Shopping

A trip to the pet store is definitely in order. Your furry buddy will need comfy bedding, dishes, treats, a leash and harness or collar, grooming supplies, waste baggies, and, of course, lots of toys. You’ll need to make sure that your fence is sturdy and tall enough to prevent Fido from getting out. It’s also a good idea to get a self-latching gate that closes securely. Many beloved pets have escaped through gates that were left open! If you have a pool, keep it fenced off when not in use. Pool covers are especially dangerous: many dogs try to walk on them, not realizing that the cover isn’t a solid surface.
