Clarington Animal Hospital Covid-19 Update

March 18 2020
Clarington Animal Hospital Covid-19 Update Updated: April, 2020 At Clarington Animal Hospital, we are committed to the health of our patients, our clients, and our team. As such, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. At this time, we are committed to remain open to continue to serve the pet population. On top of our current comprehensive safety protocols, we have increased our efforts around the hospital to keep exposure to COVID-19 to a minimum. What are our new protocols? – Even though we are still open, you will find that our door will be locked For those clients who have appointments with us: We ask that clients please wait in their vehicles and call us when they arrive. We will have the doctor speak with you over the phone, and take your pet’s history. You can discuss the current problem and give the doctor all the vital information pertaining to your pet’s visit. The doctor will then meet you at the front door to admit your pet for their exam. If you have a dog, the doctor will hand you one of our leashes to exchange for the one your companion is wearing. If you have a kitty, please place their carrier on the sidewalk where the doctor is able to pick it up and re-enter the hospital. After the doctor has finished the physical, she will call you to discuss findings, and any treatment, tests, or medication that may be necessary. We will get any prescription medication or food ready for you, while you take care of the visit fees over the phone. The doctor will bring your pet and their medication back to the front door for you. For those clients wishing to pick up food or medication We ask that you call us from your vehicle. We can take payment over the phone, if it has not already been taken care of, and we can either place your order outside our front door for you to pick up or bring it to you in your vehicle. – If you are in self-isolation, have traveled recently, or if you are positive for, or have come in contact with a COVID-19 positive person, please let our team know. We are happy to re-schedule your appointment and make alternative arrangements. Please feel free to call or email us at any time. We are here to help. Back to Covid-19 Updates
