Diagnostics
Could an illness or injury be plaguing your pet?
When people become sick or get injured, they visit the doctor, discuss their symptoms, and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it’s not always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they aren’t able to tell us when something is bothering them.
What’s more, animals are often masters at hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.
Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and treat health concerns in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.
Laboratory
The on-site diagnostic laboratory at Clarington Animal Hospital makes it quick and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have the answers we need in just minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.
Imaging
When a physical exam and lab work aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, such as x-rays, or scheduling an appointment with a board certified Ultrasound specialist. These tools allow us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Images can be analyzed in real-time by our doctors or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your pet has been acting a bit under the weather lately, don’t take chances. Contact Clarington Animal Hospital right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health once again.
