Happy New Year! As we leave 2019 behind and roll on into 2020, many of us are thinking about our goals and plans for the coming year. While we may not be able to predict next year’s major news events, we do have a pretty good idea of what some of our feline patients will be doing. A Bowmanville, ON vet lists some of Fluffy’s cuter plans for 2020 below.
Help Pack Something
Kitties are very loving and affectionate. Fluffy is also very aware of her official kitty duties, which include supervising her humans, looking cute, soaking up extra sunlight, and, of course, helping her owners pack boxes and suitcases.
Talk Back
While some cats are simply chattier than others are, many kitties aren’t exactly shy about speaking their minds. It’s probably safe to say that even quiet furballs will meow at their humans at least once.
Sleep In The Middle Of The Floor
Our feline pals are very sleepy, which is definitely adorable. Just seeing a snoozing kitty is enough to put smiles on many people’s faces. However, Fluffy has some interesting ways of choosing her napping spots. At some point, your pet will nonchalantly sprawl out somewhere that’s right in the way.
Play With Something That Isn’t A Toy
Cats are very playful, and love to pounce and jump on things. (Tip: make sure Fluffy always has fun toys to play with.) At some point this year, your frisky furball will ignore her catnip mice and bat at a bottlecap, crumpled-up piece of paper, or some other random object.
Give You Cattitude
Fluffy isn’t very big, but she’s got a huge purrsonality. Just like people, cats get grumpy sometimes. Your pet may suddenly bite you as you’re petting her, or may refuse to come when you call her … only to revert to being super cuddly a few minutes later.
Demand Attention
Some cats are quite the little lovebugs. When Fluffy wants attention, she may meow at you, rub against your legs, paw your sleeve gently, or jump into your lap.
Refuse Attention
Not all of our feline buddies like being held or petted. Fluffy may deny your requests for cuddle time, at least until she’s good and ready.
